Got the bike home today.Seems to be all there and in quite sound condition.Numbers match the buff
Log book and only one registered owner.
First thing get a log book in my name. With the help of the club. Some one was bidding against me so there must be at least one more person out there with an interest.
Where are you all.

Inspection completed by local bike enthusiast for EAAC and forms sent off keep fingers crossed for original number plate.
As before Mark Daniels is a great help both in finding me parts and taking me through to process of getting a new log book. I do hope I can keep the old buff logbook for the history of the vehicle.

Now that the paper work is in process the restoration has started in earnest .
At some point someone has worked on the bike as many things have come apart without shearing even small bolts.
The piston was stuck in the cylinder and after soaking for a few days I followed Mark Daniels advice and heated the barrel up a couple of times and let it cool before tapping with a piece of wood. The piston was slowly freed and responded to a good clean.I have honed the bore and await new rings from moped land.
I have bought new Westwood rims to have the wheels rebuilt but if I can clean up the originals well enough to chrome I may stick with them.
I am hoping that someone may be able to say where the bike has been since 1965.The man I bought it from said he bought it from a trader at a fair in Lincoln but before that I have no information.

Good news just had a letter from DVLA to say I can retain the original registration number.Followed up by my V5 first time registered for many years. The number is now non transferable which is good as too many mopeds were bought for the number plates and then scrapped.I like a reg number to stay with the vehicle until it is no more.
